Ingredients:
500 gr tortellini (I had spinach & ricotta filled)
3-4 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
Pepper to taste
1-2 teaspoons garlic powder
350 ml milk
100 gr sour cream
300 gr gouda cheese (you can use another type of cheese)
Instructions:
1. Cook the tortellini according to instructions on the package. Drain and set aside.
2. Mix flour, salt, pepper and garlic powder together in a small bowl.
3. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
4. Add flour mixture and whisk to combine. Cook for 1 minute until golden brown.
5. Add the milk, whisking continuously until smooth.
6. Add sour cream and whisk until well combined.
7. Cook on medium heat until the mixture is thickened, but don’t let it boil. It will take about 3-4 minutes.
8. Reduce heat to low and add the cheese. Whisk until all cheese is melted and incorporated.
9. Add cooked tortellini to the saucepan and stir until the sauce is evenly distributed.
10. Serve warm!
