Pizza rolls

Ingredients:

400 gr puff pastry

1 big egg, beaten (or 2 small ones)

200-250 gr cheese, grated

200-250 gr ham, diced in small cubes

100 gr black olives, pitted and sliced

Salt and pepper to taste

(you can use whatever leftovers you have: mushrooms, chicken, green olives, salami etc)


Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 170 C.

2. Line a baking pan with parchment paper.

3. In a bowl, mix grated cheese, diced ham, sliced olives, salt, pepper and 3/4 of the beaten egg.

4. Pour the mixture over the puff pastry and spread evenly.

5. Starting at the long end, roll dough up tightly to form a log.

6. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.

7. Slice the log into 1,5 cm pieces.

8. Place the rolls onto the prepared pan and brush them with a little more egg.

9. Bake for 10-15 minutes, until all puffed up and golden brown.

10. Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
