Pasta casserole with smoked salmon and apples

Serves: 4-5

Ingredients:

200 gr pasta

80 gr butter

30 gr flour

250 ml milk

250 ml cooking cream

80 gr cheese, grated

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon dill, chopped

1 tablespoon parsley, chopped

400 gr smoked salmon, ripped in smaller pieces

2 apples, peeled and chopped in small cubes/slices

Juice of a lemon

Instructions:

1. Cook the pasta according to instructions on the package. Drain all the water.

2. Preheat the oven at 200 C.

3. Grease a baking dish with a little butter.

4. In a saucepan over medium heat, add butter. Let it melt, then add the flour. Stir continuously.

5. Add milk and cooking cream. Continue stirring. When everything is incorporated well, let it simmer until it thickens.

6. Remove from the heat. Add cheese and mix until combined. Season with salt, pepper, dill and parsley.

7. In a bowl, mix together pasta, salmon and apples.

8. Add the white sauce and mix to incorporate.

9. Season with salt, pepper and lemon juice.

10. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.

11. Bake for 20-30 minutes until golden brown on top.
