Ingredients:
500-600 gr flour
60 gr sugar
250 ml milk, warm
7-8 gr active dried yeast
2 eggs, small
20 gr vanilla sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon lemon zest
80 ml oil
100-150 gr chocolate spread
50 gr peanut butter
50 gr chocolate chips
3 tablespoons honey for glazing
Instructions:
1. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl mix milk, sugar and yeast. Let it rest for 5 minutes.
3. Add the beaten eggs, oil and vanilla sugar. Mix to incorporate.
4. Gradually add the flour until the dough reaches your desired consistency.
5. Add vanilla extract and lemon zest and incorporate.
6. On a lightly floured surface knead the dough for 10 minutes.
7. Let it rest for one hour in a warm place covered with a towel or plastic wrap.
8. Preheat the oven to 180 C.
9. Roll the dough into 7-8 mm thick rectangle.
10. Spread the chocolate and peanut butter over and sprinkle with chocolate chips.
11. Roll the dough into a log. Cut 1.5-2 cm pieces and place them on the baking tray. You can sprinkle more chocolate chips on top.
12. Bake for 25-30 minutes. You can use a toothpick to check if the rolls are done.
13. While still warm, brush the rolls with honey and let cool down for at least a couple of minutes.
