Super fudgy bean brownies

Trick your friends into eating beans.

Ingredients:

1½ can black or red beans (350 gr)

1 pinch of salt

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

100 gr cocoa powder

100 gr caster sugar

170 gr maple syrup or honey

2 large eggs

1 ½ teaspoon baking powder

3 tablespoons oil + a little more for greasing

Directions:

1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C.

2. Grease a 20x20 (15x26) cm pan with oil.

3. Puree the beans in a food processor or blender until smooth. Do not pre-rinse them.

4. Poor pureed beans into a large mixing bowl.

5. Add the rest of the ingredients and blend them with a hand-mixer until smooth and well incorporated. Optional: add nuts or chocolate chips to batter.

6. Pour batter into the prepared pan.

7. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
