Apple cake with cream cheese frosting

Ingredients

170 gr butter, softened

300 gr sugar

3 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

250 gr all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon salt

3 medium apples, shredded

100 gr walnuts, chopped

1 tablespoon butter for greasing

For the glaze:

250 gr cream cheese

60 gr powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 tablespoon cinnamon

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 180° C.

2. Grease a 25 cm round cake pan with butter.

3. In large mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

4. Add the eggs, one at a time. Mix until combined after each egg.

5. Mix in vanilla, flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.

6. Stir in apples and walnuts with a spatula.

7. Pour mixture into the prepared pan.

8. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

9. Let it cool completely before frosting.

10. In a medium bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla and cinnamon.

11. Frost the top of the cake with the cream cheese mixture.
